The succubus is great for its melee damage. She is basically a rogue in the body of a demon.The succubus can learn the following abilities:
Lash of Pain: An instant attack where she lashes out at the enemy target with her whip and causes shadow damage to them.
Seduction: Seduces the target so it cannot attack and is left open to attack, only works on humanoids. Any damage will also break this effect. This is great for crowd control in certain instances like ZF, and also great for dueling.
Soothing Kiss: Just like Feign and Faint Death, Soothing Kiss soothes the target to try and get it to attack something else instead. Good for if your pet pulls aggro away from the tank.
Lesser Invisibility: Grants the succubus with lesser invisibility when activated, can only be used out of combat. Much like the imp's Phase Shift.

Also, after TBC comes out and it's current version is applied (and hence the Felguard is nerfed by a good 40%), the Succubus is a measely 5% worse for damage and 10%-15% worse for Armor.She may not have the Demonic Frenzy skill which increases her attack while hitting, and she may not have Intercept or Cleave, but Lash of Pain, an attack-slowing Soothing Kiss (the new post-60 rank slows attacks by 10% on the Kissed targets) and Seduce - and also that she is invisible at first and not an attention drawer like the Felguard - make her quite an interesting choice.
Compared to the Imp, she lasts a lot longer for damaging, the small guy may be the highest DPS-pet with Improved Firebolt but he burns mana at an insane rate even if you feed him.
Compared to the Felguard, she has a tad better field-control, ain't a big target, and doesn't give away your spec easily.
She is a very viable pet after 2.0.2 and beyond. And her new Soothing Kiss rank is deadly against Rogues or Warriors.

If you think she's that bad, you haven't learnt the concept of 'drain-tanking'. She's now the only pet I ever use when grinding, and it's fast because she has the highest DPS of the four pets. And yes, I have to be the tank but that's solved with Drain Life and Dark pact. Using this tactic, I have no problem soloing mobs several levels above me.Comment by Thottbot

One thing to be careful of...If you are in a normal or RP server... this quest is a walk in the park...
If you are on a PvP server like me... and don't know much high levels...
you'll wish you do...
I got killed so many times doing this my equipment was almost unrepairable...
I'm talking about the alliance quest here...

If you look closely at the quest it says NEAR Camp Taurajo, not in it. He is with another human northeast of Camp Taurajo next to a tent next to a tree. After that you have to run all the way to Ashenvale for the 2nd quest to get the heartwood for the succubus spell.Comment by Allakhazam

Puzzle- Updates
Having descended from room 0 we are now in room 08 of the MechCube. Let's solve this puzzle to move on to the next rooms.
Collectible item: On the left there are 2 cylinders and one item next to them that can be collected. It is 'An Unusual Artifact'.
The puzzle board has a main keypad near the center and a panel to the right with 7 buttons that light up. Each button lights up with a different symbol and color. To begin the puzzle you must tap the button in the right sequence.
Solution: Tap the buttons in color order of the rainbow.
Red, orange, Yellow, Green, Blue (lower right), Indigo (top left), Violet
This will activate the screen on the left and the keypad. You now need a code for the keypad.
Notice that the board has 4 sections with blue outlines around 3 and the other being the main keypad. The keypad itself has buttons with lines in between each.
Look at the first section on the left. it has lines across the top, down the left and across the bottom. Now check the keypad The button number 6 has the same lines around it.
The second section has lines only on the left and bottom. On the keypad the number 3 has the same.
The third section is the keypad and is surrounded by lines (a rectangular panel). This is the same as the 5 on the keypad.
Finally the fourth section has blue lines on the left, top and right. This points us to the number 8 on the keypad
Code: 6358
Once the code is entered we see a number appear 1280. We cannot enter this into the keypad though as there is no zero.
Start sliding the keypad buttons up and down and you will see that 4 of them have letters underneath.
1 = O
3 = R
8 = E
9 = Z
Tap the numbers to spell out Zero => 9831
The panel will move and reveal a hidden zero button. You can now enter the code 1280 into the keys to reveal the padlock button and complete this room puzzle.
Two doors are now open to you. The door on the left will take you to a second ending, that also doesn't end well, but you can return to the game.
The door to the right takes you to Room 09.
